Throughout the year we will have opportunities associated with special events and seasonal drives and programs.

Plant a Row - m IV
Planting your garden for the season? Think about those in need, and plant an extra row! All produce, which is greatly needed by our families, can be brought to our Distribution Center as it is grown and ripe! Click here for a pdf of our Plant a Row flyer.
Photographer- m
Do people always tell you when you show them your family candid's, "You take such great pictures!" Then we want you to be part of our Volunteer Photographer team. As an on call volunteer, we'll contact you when we have events going on in the community or special events at MOM that we want documented. Must have access to email, a digital camera, and a way to transfer the pictures to us (either electronically or by CD).
Food Pantry Block Captain- m IV
Be your block's contact for a monthly drive to support MOM. Read our FAQ on this great opportunity for individuals, families and groups! Check out our sample Tool Kit.
(new!) Make it Happen! Volunteer- m IV
This is the perfect opportunity for volunteers who want to involve their family and community in making a difference and want to make it happen on their own schedule! You can make it happen with one of our suggested food and clothing drives (Click here to find out what drives we are encouraging each month) or you can be creative and find your own special way to help your neighbors in need:
- organize a group to collect items and put together kits of needed items, such as first-aid kits, birthday kits, and seniors kits.
-plant a garden and designate rows of produce to be given to the Food Pantry
- organize a spare change contest or a "noisy can collection" with another business or group of friends
- host a sculpture art contest with your neighbors and make sculptures out of canned food and then donate the building blocks
-organize a paper airplane contest, charge a dollar for registration and donate the proceeds
- start a "rent a kid club" - friends and neighbors "rent a kid" for household chores (leaf- raking, lawn-mowing, car washing) and tips for the service are donated to MOM
- Help your family count their blessings - follow the Thankfulness Calendar for four weeks and learn more about how MOM and it's supporters are helping the community.
- organize a neighborhood talent show... plan a "kick-it-up-for-MOM" soccer-athon or dance-athon... host a lemonade stand...
You get the idea!
Whether you plan to do one of our recommended drives, a general drive for the Pantry or do something out of the ordinary, we would like to know about it! Fill out the PDF version of the Make it Happen! Sign-up Form and send it in to Carole.
