You can make a difference by learning about the needs in our community, and then talking with your friends and family!

• Read the blog written by our Case Managers. The stories presented are not actual stories (to protect the privacy and confidentiality of those we serve), but instead are close composites of real situations and honest emotions of those in need. • The Homeless Challenge is an educational activity that helps people understand the reasons for homelessness. The activity is appropriate for groups up to 15 people, ages 12 to adult and takes approximately 1 hour to complete. If you are interested in having us speak or do this poverty simulation with your class or club free of charge, contact Ellen at ellen@mompop.org.
  
  
• We provide tours of the Distribution Center (housing our Food Pantry and Clothing Closet). Contact our Director of Volunteer Services to arrange a time for your group.
  
  
• Visit the Wisconsin Council of Churches website for their Hunger on Our Doorstep curriculum and resources, including a complete 5 lesson series that you can download a pdf for free. They also have an extensive resource list of other local and national organizations, as well as local statistics on poverty.
  
  
• Click here for links to other websites that may help you learn about poverty in our community and nation, as well as some ways you can respond. We do not endorse any of the information found on any of these sites, but are providing it as an additional tool for you to learn and think about possible solutions.
