Help MOM provide over 250,000 meals for those in need! In response to MOM announcing the adoption of a new food pantry model, two anonymous donors have stepped forward to match dollar for dollar the first $35,000 of cash contributions received from the community targeted to the new program. The $35,000 of community funds will generate 250,000 meals for those that qualify to use the pantry. The matching funds are available for community donations received prior to March 31. The new food pantry model provides those within MOM’s Middleton and West Madison service territory the opportunity to take more food, more often than the current model which provides one week's worth of food each month. This matching campaign represents the first step forward by the community in supporting this important hunger relief initiative. "We are excited that members of our community share MOM's vision of providing more for those that need it the most,” said Bernie Lange, chair of MOM’s Resource Development Committee. “This matching campaign provides community participants the ability to double the financial impact of their contribution.” Every donation of $20, if matched by the donor funds, would provide approximately 280 meals -- enough food for a family of three for one month. Donations for the matching program (with MATCH in the memo line) may be sent to the MOM office at 7432 Hubbard Avenue in Middleton (53562) or or may be made online. Need more information?
